Getting here
The Supreme Court of Canada is currently located in the West Memorial Building at 344 Wellington Street, in downtown Ottawa.
Directions
From the west side of the National Capital Region
- Head east on the Trans-Canada Highway, also known as the 417.
- Take the Bronson exit, number 121A.
- After exiting, turn left onto Bronson Avenue.
- Continue along Bronson Avenue until you reach Queen Street.
- Turn right on Queen Street.
- Turn left on Bay Street.
- Turn right on Wellington Street.
- You’ll see the Supreme Court of Canada on Wellington Street, on the right.
From the east side of the National Capital Region
- Head west on the Trans-Canada Highway, also known as the 417.
- Take the Bronson exit, number 121A.
- After exiting, turn right onto Bronson Avenue.
- Continue along Bronson Avenue until you reach Queen Street.
- Turn right on Queen Street.
- Turn left on Bay Street.
- Turn right on Wellington Street.
- You’ll see the Supreme Court of Canada on Wellington Street, on the right.
Security measures
You will be asked to go through a metal detector before entering the building. To facilitate this process, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the Court’s security screening procedures.
Parking information
There is no parking available at the Supreme Court of Canada, but there are a number of public and municipal parking lots located nearby.
Public transit
The Supreme Court of Canada is served by a number of public transit services. If you are travelling from Ottawa, please consult the OC Transpo website to learn about O-Train and bus routes. The nearest O-Train station is Lyon.
For routes and schedules from Gatineau, consult the Société de transport de l’Outaouais website.
Tour buses
Tour buses can drop off passengers on Sparks Street, between Lyon and Bay Streets. Tour bus parking is available throughout the city.

Physical environment
Accessible parking spaces at the Supreme Court can be requested in advance and the building is fully wheelchair accessible.
A ramp is located at the main entrance to the building, on Lyon Street.
All public elevators and ramps are large enough to accommodate wheelchairs and motorized scooters.
