August 2014 - Amendments to the Rules of the Supreme Court of Canada and changes to the distribution of the Canada Supreme Court Reports

Counsel and litigants are notified that the Supreme Court of Canada has amended Schedule A of the Rules of the Supreme Court of Canada to set the fees payable to the Registrar for the Canada Supreme Court Reports (“Reports”).  The amendments were registered as SOR/2014-96 and came into force on June 30, 2014. 

The print version of the Reports can be purchased for a fee of $350 for an annual subscription or $40 (plus any applicable taxes) for each individual part published during the year. The digital version (PDF) is published at the same time as the print version and is available at no charge through the Supreme Court of Canada website.

Either the print or digital version of the Reports may be cited in documents filed with the Supreme Court of Canada. The same method of citation can be used for both versions.
